Also mine did not even come with screws to mount or secure the 7 & 4way to the plate. otherwise a solid built product and works as designed.

Curt Manufacturing 55113 T-Connector Review

(More customer reviews)We purchased the connector setup to install in our 2010 Rav4. The setup is relatively easy to install and takes about 1-1.5 hours. The longest part of installing the unit for me was routing the power supply up to the battery. I took extra time to run under the chasis and place the wire in places that weren't going to be pinched and against items that get hot. The one major problem, which has been mentioned many times in other reviews, was the length of the wires. They are at the bare minimum that is needed for installation. And while there is enough slack, there is very little extra for an easy installation. Wire is cheap and I don't know why Curt doesn't add another 6-8".
Another item that would be nice as an improvement would be a power light on the conversion unit. This would give a quick indication that the power line and the ground are in-tact. Other than those two items, I would say that the product works as described.
One thing to note: For the Rav4 installation, it was recommended to run the wiring to the trailer out the door when needed. I did not run mine this way so I can not comment on how well that installation sequence works. There is a rubber grommet in the body right in the area where the converter is installed. So I cut the grommet enough to run the wiring through and then ran it along the trailer hitch, zippy tieing it in place. This seems to work very well and I didn't have to worry about pinching the wiring harness in the door.

Highland 1041700 Rainproof Cargo Bag Review

(More customer reviews)Just got this so I'll probably have to update the review. I bought it from another store with coupons and it was cheap. It doesn't have much shape when you put it in the tray, it's a big bag. It seems sturdy enough, I put a bunch of stuff in it for our recent trip and it kept taking more and more. I like the straps, so what if the buckles are plastic, they work. You can also disconnect the top ones and two people can lift the bag off the tray to take inside to unpack.
As we came down a mountain, a huge thunderstorm hit, I could barely see and almost had to pull over, the wind was blowing the rain sideways. When we got to our hotel, the bag was dry inside, not a drop of water.
I'll update after a couple trips for durability but on this trip it was fantastic, really let us bring a lot of extra things. We are a family of five in a station wagon (Subaru) and there is no extra room. This is the first time I could see out the back of the car on vacation.
I also like how this leaves the roof free for other cargo carriers.
Finally, check out etrailer they compare this with the top rated other similar bag and never say this one is lower quality.
Update: Our 1000 mile trip is over. Good start, even the fishing poles didn't poke holes in this thing, It is easly to remove from the tray, load and unload and it held a lot of things. It stayed dry inside the whole trip and the attachment system never loosened. And it can be folded away for the next trip. I'm happy with this bag.

Curt Manufacturing 11437 Class I Receiver Review

(More customer reviews)Received the properly packaged hitch via UPS. Box was strong and protested the hitch well. The hitch itself was perfect with a good powder-coated blemish free finish. The install process did not go quite as smoothly as I was hoping for, but I found that watching 2 videos on YouTube helped a lot. (The directions do make more sense if you've seen the video a few times.) I'm somewhat of a car maintenance novice, but I was able to follow the directions and properly install the hitch. I don't have access to a car lift so I used ramps - plenty of room.
I have a Yak Double Down bike rack that I can now use on both vehicles. If you're looking to add a hitch mounted bike rack to your Civic, I really don't think you can beat the Curt.

Curt Manufacturing 13558 Class III Receiver Review

Curt lists this a 90 minute project for DIY'er or 45 minutes for a professional, but this claim is in my opinion is fraudulent for two reasons. First, there are four holes that you must drill into your aluminum tube bumper structure of which two cannot be drilled with the bumper cover in place. Second you have to fish hardware through the end of the aluminum tube bumper structure. Curt does provide a nice wire form that would make this easy if there were not obstructions in the tube. These obstructions plus the lack of access to the end of the tube make fishing the hardware through the tube pure fantasy.
If you purchase the Curt Manufacturing 13558 Class III Receiver then plan on removing the bumper cover. The project is more likely going to take 6 to 8 hours. You will need good instruction on how to remove the bumper cover. If you remove the cover the project is very easy, but removing the cover is its own challenge. Also, don't waste your time trying to pry apart the muffler hangers. Just unbolt them it is much easier and there is no risk.
The quality of the receiver and hardware is top notch. I have no problem with the actual product, but it should not be sold as something that is a 90 minute project.

(More customer reviews)Product came smashed in box and poking through. No structural damange however it was scraped up. I didn't care much personally.
Instructions are amazing. Maybe the best I've ever seen. They were in English (not translated to English), correct, and thorough. I can't say enough about how good these single page, single side instructions are.
Design is very clever. They use a fishwire technique that is brilliant.
To do this install you want a floor jack, silicone sealant, and a sawzall or other such device for cutting plastic. I expected the floorjack but just as a warning you really do need a cutting device and the sealant for this job. You also need english and metric wrench/sockets and torx drivers. You need english because the product is American, but the car is German :)
Install time was NOT 45 minutes. It took me and my buddy almost 2 hours. That's painfully embarasing to admit given that we're both engineers and garage monkeys, but we weren't in a rush, I had the flu, and we spent a lot of time doing the fishing wire technique. It's brilliant, but still takes a lot of fiddling.
Finished result is awesome. Product is stout. This really opens the doors to what I can do with my TDI now and at $120 & 2-day shipping... who can complain!

(More customer reviews)This cargo carrier works well for me. It was not difficult to put together (I had one person helping me hold it). However, the instructions are not very clear as the manufacturer printed assembly instruction for 3 different cargo carriers in one manual.
I took it on a 600 mile trip and it was fine. However, it scrapes the pavement on a steep driveway installed on a SUV. I used it with a waterproof cargo bag by Rola (#59102). It's rather heavy and may require two people to attach to the hitch.
I like the folding feature.

Curt Manufacturing 13385 Class III Receiver Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this because all the local hitch shops wanted a kidney to put a hitch on my Honda Ridgeline. I bought this hitch from Amazon and it was delivered free for less than I could even get it anywhere in Dallas. Honda is great too because I noticed when I got the hitch there were not any nuts in the parts bag. Honda already has all the welded in nuts in place on the truck. Installation is just a matter of holding up the hitch and screwing in 8 bolts that come with the hitch. The hitch has a threaded like bolt sticking out to mount the muffler hanger on. This is a great hitch and super easy to install.

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my 2003 Jeep wrangler TJ. The problem I had with the Amazon was the description of the item: there was no reference to Jeep Wrangler. I accidently stumbled on it and Googled the part number to find out that it in fact would fit my vehicle. It fits perfectly. The only negative I would mention with the product itself was the hardware. The tab-nuts are poorly welded. When you tighten up on the bolt the tab snaps off the nut leaving you with no way to hold the nut to tighten it. So I had to cut an open-end wrench to get behind the frame and hold the nut while tightening the bolt. Not a big deal, but I thought you should know.

(More customer reviews)Pros - Assembly was easy and fast. Rack is rock solid. Doesn't wobble or sway in transit. Rack swings out far enough for truck tailgate to come down. Unloading camping gear with bikes in rack was a breeze. Security cable is a plus!
Cons - The rubber straps aren't permanently attached and don't lock in to their starting position easily. They Lost one right away. Order an extra set. Also- order the quick attach locking bolt. The bolt for the neck of the trailer hitch means you need a rachet set or wrench every time you want to take the rack off. The lock for the security cable is not included.
This was our first rack. We are "occassional" users. (Car camping, local bike trail, etc.) Good rack for us. If you are hauling women's or girl's bikes order the mounting adaptor. Adaptors much less expensive online. We didn't order them with the rack. Rookie mistake. Wish the instructions had some pointers on best way to mount four bikes.
Overall - Great value!

Just came back from a weekend camping trip. Had a chance to compare notes on racks with a couple of people (and check out their bike racks). When I compare what we got for what we paid to what they got to what they paid... we definitely got the better value!!
