(More customer reviews)This combo of equipment was used with a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 MegaCab, 5.9L, 6 speed manual, timbren suspension helpers front and rear. Trailer was a 24' 2008 Cargomate Trailblazer, tandem axle, 10k rating. The trailer was loaded to about 12k so the obvious problems needed to be dealt with. Before the above hitch was used, the trailer was almost uncontrollable above 65mph, lots of sway and intense bouncing over moderate bumps/potholes. After installing the 12,000 lb. Weight Distribution Hitch, Sway Control, and Ball Combo, the trailer followed like a dream, much less bounce, very little sway other then when interacting with a semi,(passing or being passed). Traveled at speeds up to 80mph when passing and the trailer followed perfectly. Trip summary to get an idea of conditions was from Cincinnati, Ohio to Seattle, Washington via I-80, I-84, I-82, then I-90. Lots of flat open ground and lots of challenging mountain driving, steep uphills and downhills in and out of curves. We made it safely with almost no problems,(blown tire on trailer I-84 in Idaho), and when the tire blew the trailer stayed true behind us, whether that was the tandem axle or hitch setup, who knows, but the trailer did not move any differently while slowing down and stopping to change the tire. All in all I rate this combo 5 stars, 2500 mile trip over sometimes complex terrain with no problems settles any questions I had about it whether it was worth it or not. Great value, great product!!
