(More customer reviews)I purchased this wiring kit (Tow Ready 118336 T-One Connector) so I could hook the utility trailer up to our 2003 Honda CR-V and have brake lights! I checked the year, make, and model compatibility on Amazon before I purchased, and when the package arrived, it stated that it is compatible with the CR-V clearly on the package.
WELL... I suppose in some ways it might be. The wiring harness does plug into the harness inside the car, and it is long enough to hook through where it is supposed to... but the plug that is supposed to end up on the outside of the vehicle does not fit through the designated hole. The instructions are very clear, and show exactly where the plug is supposed to go, but due to a design flaw in this particular plug, the vehicle would have to be modified in order to feed this through the hole. The cap for the plug is permanently attached and sticks out the side of the plug, making it far too wide to fit through the hole.
We searched the underside of the vehicle for a larger hole, and this is the only one in the back and larger than any of the other holes. If you are interested in boring out the existing hole, than this plug will work. We are not that industrious, so we have returned it to Amazon for a hassle-free refund!
