(More customer reviews)Did great for our long distance drives. Up to 7 hour drive. Freeway and mountain driving. It held up great and the swing away is definitely a plus when you want to get in the back of the truck and the bikes are in the way. I was leary the first time I swung it with a load of 3 bikes, but nothing happened, swung right back and locked back into place. I wish they made one to hold five bikes. We replace the short T screws that came with the rack with 4inch bolts and washers to fit all our bikes. Then we bungee all the bike tires together to minimize the tire movement and we are set. Never had to tighten the load during our drives yet.

Softride Access Bicycle Hitch Rack Ski Rack Attachment - 24232 Review

(More customer reviews)I bought the Softride hitch-mount Dura bike rack. When I found out about this ski attachment, I was excited about the convenience of living my hitch rack mounted through the winter.
The top plate (upper square plate that has slots for attachments) has square plastic fittings in the slots. Those broke after one day of use. There is a big design flaw in my opinion- the slots on the top plate are actually round, but the plastic fittings make it square to fit the bike attachments. This ski attachment fits into the square fittings loosely- way too much wiggle! That's what caused the fitting to brake. The 45 degree angle puts a lot of torque on the fittings. Softride customer service was great- they replaced them quickly. They had me take the ski attachment to my local bike shop just in case the "wiggle" present was from my rack's top plate, but it wasn't. Apparently that's the way it fits in all top plates. The customer service rep said that their engineers have determined that the wiggle was an acceptable amount. It was NOT for me. I didn't bother trying it a second time. I returned it.
The Dura rack with the bike attachments works great and I will definitely keep that. Just avoid the ski attachments.

Valley 81030 Class III Receiver Hitch Review

He was informing me that my Bike rack had broken and one of my bikes was just before hitting the road. One of the arms that support the bikes had broken totally off and was laying in the middle of the intersection. I thinked him, placed the bike inside my RV and continued on my trip. I would have never have thought this would happen. So be told the support arms can and will brake off.

Returned to Amazon and customer service sent a replacement which arrived with no accessories just like the first one. Too bad, I'd like to have this on my van. Amazon customer service told me to wait several days before reordering and they would look into it.

Valley 82350 Class III Receiver Hitch Extended Length Review

(More customer reviews)This Hitch is heavy duty. It takes a little patience and good drill bits to install. Utilize the Spring Bolt holders to pull the bolts into place. It's helpful to have a jack or helper to hold the Receiver into place while marking holes for bolts. I was a little surprised to see the hitch arrive unpackaged with Hardware strapped to the outside of the unit rather then what you typically see at an Auto Parts store, but I was told by the UPS Driver that this was typical. The unit was in good condition with all parts included and instructions. I had installed a similar unit on a Silhouette so I knew what I was getting into before starting. This Van did not have the trailer Wiring installed so I purchased the Hopkins Plug-In Simple 41365 T Connector Wiring Kit For GM Minivan (Venture, Silhouette, Transport) '97-03 Kit. There is not much room to install the T connectors behind the Tail lights but otherwise it worked well.

Second the hitch showed up all beat up and scratched pretty bad, didn't come with instructions, hardware or drawbar like amazon says. Really disappointed would never buy from here again, was better off going to uhaul and do it there on the spot......

(More customer reviews)I purchased the VersaHaul Hitch Carrier with Ramp to haul a small motorcycle on the back of my RV. It is a solid carrier, but the instructions were very difficult to decipher. Photos don't show where to line up parts/screws and there are no markings on the product parts. You have to kind of "eye it up".
The hitch pin that comes with the product is not safe and should be replaced.
I'm not completely dissatisfied with this carrier, but there are some improvements that could make it better.

(More customer reviews)This was the best value deal I could find and I am happy with the product. It was straight forward to put together and my Champion winch fit just fine. I did have to drill new holes to mount my roller assembly.
It is solid and heavy. Keep in mind the weight of your winch as well as this metal cradle. I can lift it all assembled, but I'd hate to do so in a precarious position. If you can barely lift your winch, you might consider a permanent mount.
