IT'S A VERY GOOD TRAILER HITCH BALL. BUT THEN THEY ALL ARE. THEIR IS NOT MUCH VARIATION FROM ONE BRAND TO THE NEXT. I NEEDED THE LONGER THREAD LENGTH FOR SOME ACCESSORIES INSTALLING UNDER THE BALL. THAT WORKED OUT JUST RIGHT. IT'S HARD TO FIND THEM WITH A LONGER THREAD LENGTH. AND THE PRICE ON AMAZON.COM WAS THE BEST.

Swagman XP Fold Down 3-Bike Hitch Mount Rack (2-Inch Receiver) Review

Swagman XP Fold Down 3-Bike Hitch Mount Rack (2-Inch Receiver)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is the third bike rack my wife and I have tried and for once a pleasant surprise. I own a Jeep Liberty with the spare tire mounted on the back. Most hitch mounted bike racks require you to purchase a hitch extension costing between $30 and $70 dollars to clear the spare. The mounting tube on this rack has two pre-drilled positions, one for clearing a spare, and one for bringing the rack closer if you don't have a rear mounted spare. Needless to say I was pleased not having to spend the extra money for the extension.
This is also a well built rack, not flimsy like many similarly priced racks I have seen. There is no need to provide extra stability with straps etc. to keep it from twisting.
This rack provides quite a bit of security as well. A locking pin is provided for attaching the section that swivels to the section mounted to the hitch, and one of the three mounting brackets has a locking knob.
Finally, the single tube design is a lot more adaptable than the racks that have two arms for holding the bike. We bought a Thule spare tire mounted rack for my wife's Jeep, and while it is a nice rack, we had a really rough time getting the frames of our mountain bikes to clear the two support arms. With the Swagman, it is no problem, much easier to load and unload. You can rest assured you will get your money's worth with this rack.

Curt Manufacturing 13156 Class III Receiver Review

Curt Manufacturing 13156 Class III Receiver
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The primary purpose of buying a hitch for my 2001 Qx4 was to haul my motorcycle via trailer. The trailer tongue weight + motorcycle shouldn't be anywhere close to the max tongue weight spec of 500lbs for this Curt 13156 Class3 hitch reciever; nor the 5000lb tow limit. It allows nice fitment for my spare tire when re-stored under the truck, as well.
4 large bolts connect this hitch to the frame rails underneath the truck, similar to the OEM hitch that comes from Nissan/Infiniti. I recently finished a 400mi round trip with a medium duty trailer and my 400lb motorcycle, and the hitch had no issues maintaining the weight and loads.
On the side of design and looks, I think it looks great! The goose-neck curve in the hitch provides for a "hidden" look to the hitch. Only the hitch-2"-box and some of the cross-bar shows. Everything is tucked up and behind the bumper.
One of my suggestions is to make sure you upgrade your suspension if you're planning to tow near or at the hitch limits, or Nissan/Infiniti tow limits specified on the driver side door-jam (which is also 500lb tonge/5000lb load).
I also recently learned of the term GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) really means! I means the amount your suspension can hold above the curb weight. Curb weight is the "dry" weight, from what I understand, which means, no fuel, no oil, no cargo, etc. So, this also takes into account the tongue weight which places a load on the truck's suspension. If you're carrying near the 500lb tongue weight, make sure you account for the GVWR, otherwise you might be overstressing the suspension or the frame.
Another point of advice... use some Anti-seize grease on the 8-bolts that hold the hitch to the frame. this makes it easier to torque down the bolts without getting that hideous metal-metal rubbing sound. Remember, the hitch is not 100% formed to the truck's frame rails, There will be some tight or loose areas when the hitch mates to the frame rails. So as you're tightening down the bolts, the bolts will squeeze the hitch to the frame if there is any space between them.
Also, my brother bought the square-tube equivalent (Curt Hitch 13088). However, he had some tight fitting with the spare tire. We returned the 13088 hitch and will get the 13156 hitch as it allows more space for the spare.
Good luck!

Allen Deluxe Swing Away 4-Bike Hitch Mount Rack (2-Inch Receiver) Review

Allen Deluxe Swing Away 4-Bike Hitch Mount Rack (2-Inch Receiver)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The 740RR (MSRP: $400) is a swing-away hitch-mount bike carrier that permits access to the rear of a vehicle without first dismounting the rack or its load of bikes, a convenience that you'll wonder how you ever got along without. The 740RR folding design is unique from other competing swing-away bike carriers, admittedly very cool to see in action though it provides no obvious advantages. An animated video of the 740RR movement is available on the manufacturer's website.
However, the 740RR seems to suffer from a few design flaws that quickly become apparent during typical use, raise concerns about the product's safety, and may eventually render the rack unusable. My observations after using the 740RR:
1) Unnecessarily complicated swing-arm.
The 740RR folding swing-arm requires more component hardware and pivot points than competing single-hinge swing-away carriers. More pivot points mean over a half-dozen lubrication spots, more mechanical points of failure, and several exposed and potentially serious pinch hazards.
2) Swing-arm flex.
The 740RR swing-arm flexes considerably when it is swung out from the vehicle under a full load of bikes. The flex can cause permanent misalignment of the locking mechanisms that hold the rack safely closed. When this happens, the 740RR is unusable.
3) Poorly designed locking and safety mechanism.
The locking mechanism is the most significant problem with the rack. The 740RR clicks closed by use of a spring-pin. However, this pin does not secure the carrier to the vehicle. Instead, the owner must subsequently hand-tighten an ordinary threaded bolt before the rack is safe for transport. Forget to tighten that bolt and the carrier will swing away from the rear of the vehicle at the first bump regardless if the rack is empty or carrying bikes, an unnerving thing to experience.
Note that securing the rack with a threaded bolt appears to be a typical safety feature of most swing-away bike carriers. However, the 740RR's implementation seems poorly applied:
- The long threaded bolt must be tightened from the front of the swing-arm, access to which is difficult and awkward when the rack is loaded with bicycles;
- The bolt threads become stripped under normal use and eventually can no longer be tightened, making the rack unusable;
- Neither the spring-pin or the bolt will engage if the swing-arm is misaligned, again rendering the rack unusable.
4) Significant weight.
The 740RR is heavy and cumbersome to attach/remove from the receiver hitch, and awkward and bulky to move when detached. The carrier does not stand up on its own when not mounted. As an alternative to hefting the thing up onto wall hooks, the manufacturer sells a stand which allows upright storage of the 740RR.
5) Instructions contain errors.
The 740RR design has apparently changed since the instructions were last updated. A few images do not match actual rack components, and some parts are mislabeled.
Great Warranty.
The manufacturer warrants their products as such: "If one of our products fails to function properly due to defect in materials or workmanship over the lifetime of the original purchaser, return the product and we will repair it or replace it free of charge." Indeed, to my satisfaction, the manufacturer replaced my first problematic 740RR (on which this review is based) without any hassle and free of charge including shipping. The replacement rack has lasted longer than its predecessor, but the threaded bolt again shows signs of eminent failure.
Buying a Used 740RR.
It is probably a very bad idea to purchase the 740RR used. The original owner may be unburdening themselves of a rack afflicted with one of the many inherent problems I mentioned above. Also, you would loose the protection of the manufacturer's warranty.

Trimax TCL65 Wheel Chock Lock Review

Trimax TCL65 Wheel Chock Lock

Being faced with a possible theft of my equipment trailer, I needed to look for ways to secure it and make sure it stays put. This chock lock is AWESOME. It grabs hold of the wheel 14" wheel very well. It locks and hardly moves. The locking system is unique, to say the least.. in a good way, of course.
One recommendation- make sure you get a set of lug nuts that locks your wheel onto your trailer. A thief might bring along a spare and change your chocked tire for his leaving your AWESOME chock lock and tire where your trailer used to be! Ha! You need to be one step ahead of the thief!

Curt Manufacturing 12252 Class II Receiver Review

Curt Manufacturing 12252 Class II Receiver
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I am a 60 year old home grown car repair guy. I am a little above average ability with lots of tools but only needed 3/4 wrench, 3/4 socket, 13 mm socket and small screwdriver to complete job. I put this hitch on my Impala in about 30 minutes. Read the direction, they are short, then do what they say. Easy as it gets, no drilling. My tips; unbolt back muffler hanger, 2 bolt 13 mm, and let hang, use small screwdriver to hold bolts threads while starting nuts (only 6 nuts), bolt driver side on first and let muffler help hold other side. Now I can tow my little trailer to haul my wife's needless stuff! HA! HA!

Deluxe Automatic Electric Power Tongue RV Camper Trailer Jack Leveler 3500 lbs 12 Volt Review

Deluxe Automatic Electric Power Tongue RV Camper Trailer Jack Leveler 3500 lbs 12 Volt
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This was a good price on the product. However, I feel the quality of the product was inferior. It broke the first time we used it. If you buy this product, do not retract the jack too far or it will shear off a pin that lets the bottom assembly of the jack just fall out. There is no auto shut-off when it raises too far. The fuse on the motor also didn't burn out to save the jack. We ended up fixing it but I would not recommend this jack.

WARN 37509 Hitch Cover Review

WARN 37509 Hitch Cover
Average Reviews:

They're made of a hard rubber material.
On my old 2" hitch, it fit great and stayed on for quite some time.
I got a new 2" hitch and found that didn't fit tightly in the receiver.
I tried wrapping it with some electrical tape and it seemed very secure.
A few days later, it disappeared.
Not sure if it got stolen or fell out while driving???
Would be nice if they made it longer so you could put your draw bar pin thru it.
As mentioned, it was great in my first hitch though, so who knows.
I really like the look versus an empty receiver, so I'd still recommend it.

Works OK, just is not user friendly when trying to install it on various vehicles with different body plastic, i.e. Chrysler Town n Country: Due to hitch being resessed under van, not enough 2 inch receiver sticking out to proper secure it. Doge Power wagon 2500 Welding to thick at neck of receiver and only wat to install anti-rattle was to turn it upside down and tightn the screws. Works well in that position.

QuadBoss Trailer Hitch 1226 Review

QuadBoss Trailer Hitch 1226
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased this hitch to put on my 2003 Honda Rincon 650. I needed to hitch up a large utility dumping trailor to do some landcape work on my property. Only issue I had was that the hitch pin that cam with the trailor was too large for the single pin hole, and obveously the ball slot was way too big. The fix was to use a galvenized bolt left over from my chainlink project. Worked in a pinch and luckily it didn't even as much as scratch the hitch. I'll take the time to modify the plate when I have access to a drill press, but that won't be a huge deal. If you want a perfect fit for your quad, hardware included, this will work.
