(More customer reviews)This is a great product, unfortunately I could not buy it through Amazon since I could not be sure that it would fit my receiver and I needed it immediately. There are a lot of reviews on this site where people will say the various locks did fit this vehicle and not that one, etc., but nobody specified the critical dimension, which is the length of the pin. I needed that number...!
So, here it is for this one: This 5/8" pin will accommodate receivers up to 3.25" in outside thickness. That should be plenty for any application. For example, my 2006 Ford Expedition with Class IV towing has a receiver with a 2" receiver and total outside thickness of 2-5/8". But wait, there's more: this lock comes with two pins, the other is the 1/2" thickness which is used with a 1-1/4' receiver. The other pin will accommodate a receiver with total outside thickness of 2-3/4".
So, to reiterate, this kit will work with both 2" and 1-1/4" receivers since it comes with two pins.
AND, it comes with a second lock that fits the trailer as well, AND the same key works in both. Very convenient. The lock feels very solid and the keyhole has a rubber waterproof boot that fits over it to keep out grime, etc. I think this is a great value for the price.
