(More customer reviews)This is a fine product for a motorcycle or scooter (have both). The locking/unlocking mechanism works well (no fiddling needed). The key light is useful when trying to unlock the lock at night, although it is a red LED which isn't as good as the white LED that I have with another similar lock from OnGuard. I find that I fiddle more with the OnGaurd lock when unlocking that one compared to the this Trimax.

(More customer reviews)Halfway out to Colorado on the rack's maiden voyage, I looked in the rear-view mirror to see the outermost bike tilted at a 30 degree angle. The rubber straps still gripped the bike frame, but one of them had itself slipped off the rack. No wonder the instructions say to be sure to tie the separate fabric strap securely to the frame; this keeps the rubber strap bracket from shaking loose.
Additionally, the two metal arms you see on top are spaced too widely to accomodate many children's bikes.
I haven't checked out any of the competition, to see if they're any better.

It does not in fact work for a 2002 Jeep Liberty. I really wish it would have worked because the only other thing I could find to fit my vehicle cost over $50 after shipping. This one was only $20 with shipping. If it will work for your vehicle it's a great deal.

Andersen Manufacturing 3310 5 1/2" Rapid Hitch Review

However, once I received it, and, starting putting it to use, my opinion of the design increased almost daily.
I have a lot of machinery that I need to tow around the place - log splitter - work trailer - ATV - wood chipper, etc. All of them have a standard 2" coupler. Occasionally, I need to tow a piece of equipment that has a different sized ball.
This hitch will handle all of them.
The installation took a little because the shank is a tiny bit oversized and I had to fit it into the receiver on my Rover (I uploaded a picture of it towing a trailer). Since it is aluminum, it was easy to fit it to your individual receiver. A little Scotch Brite did it for me.
Once the shank is intalled, it only takes about a minute to switch balls if you need a 1 7/8" ball or a 2 5/8" ball. It takes less than a minute to adjust the height of the hitch.
This package is essential. You DEFINITELY want the locking pins as these hitches are in demand among thieves, and, the removal of the hitch is as easy as it is to install.
If you have more than one piece to tow, and, you need to make fine height adjustments (for safety reasons especially) this is THE hitch for you.

Curt Manufacturing 13573 Class III Receiver Review

(More customer reviews)The hitch receiver for BMW X3 is a great value if you do not need the electrical hookup for trailer brake lights. The dealer wanted $1400 for the original BMW hitch receiver installation (with the electrical jack though). I paid $200 (2.5 hours of labor) to my indy BMW mech to install it. You can install it yourself and pay just for the receiver, but be prepared to spend half day to full day working on it depending on your skills and break a few BMW plastic body clips. Anyway, the receiver allows one to install a bike rack easily on BMW X3 SAV and is much cheaper and more convenient than getting a roof rack for bikes. One star off for not having the electrical jack for the trailer brake lights. Great value overall.

Valley 30137 Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Wire Harness Review

(More customer reviews)This product took me approx 30 min. to install. I first got a 2 1/4" hole saw, (I think that was the size, it wasn't smaller then 2") and I marked out a spot in my bed that would be good for this plug. I chose a few inches behind the driver side wheel well. I installed this on a dodge so make sure your plug won't be affected by the different levels on the inside of the bed. Make sure all four holes will lay flush.
I drilled out my hole and just as a precaution put some touch up paint on the bare metal to prevent future rusting. I attached the harness to the plug and fed everything down thru the hole. I then went under the truck and found the harness, routed it safely over to where the existing 7 way harness plugs in. Removed that plug, (theres a red clip you have to slide with a screw driver) and plugged my new harness into that socket. Slide your clip on your new plug! Then I took the other end of my new harness and plugged it into the plug that I just removed from the existing harness. SIMPLE!! Zip tie your extra 6 feet or so of wire up with the provided zip ties. Next go back up in the bed and pitch those dinky little self tappers they give ya with this kit cause there almost to short, and what happens if you start pluggin and unpluggin your big 7 way plug from your trailer? Your gonna eventually work them screws out. I used the same size self tapper just a longer length. If you think you can do it, you might wanna try bolts but it's gonna be hard gettin your hand up that high to tightened the nuts if your workin from the ground.
Overall this things is very simple to install, well worth the price for quality and plenty of wire. Will keep your trailer plug in the bed instead of hangin over your tail gate where it can easily fall behind your bumper and first turn you take its gonna snap. So spend some money and buy this kit, save yourself the 90.00 that a professional will charge ya to do the same job. Also, search this product on you tube. Theres a instructional video on there that shows installing this same part number. Might try searching goosneck plug or somthing along those lines to bring it up.
