(More customer reviews)What differentiates this tow kit from others is the "interlock". The "interlock" refers to the shape of the base of the ball. It is hexagonal rather than round like they typically are. The ball mount also has the hex shape formed into it so that the hex ball sits down into the hex shape of the ball mount. This prevents the ball from spinning, which is very handy when you want to remove the ball from the ball mount, when for example, you want to switch to a different size ball. With a normal round-based ball, when you attempt to remove the nut on the bottom, the ball just spins and you get frustrated trying to remove it. I had this happen and ended up taking it to a local U-Haul to get it removed. Now I know you can use a huge pipe wrench to how the base of the round-based ball while removing the nut...but how many people have big pipe wrenches? With the "interlock" hitch, just insert the ball mount into your vehicle's hitch receiver and then reef on the nut with a large wrench (which you can buy here on Amazon). Other than the "interlock" feature, this hitch kit is pretty standard and will do the job.
