It never made sense to me that the trailer is locked to the ball, and ball mount locked to the receiver, but all anyone needs to do is unscrew the ball nut and off they go with the trailer attached to the ball, on their mount. Welded hitch-balls make sense for security of a trailer, or a locking ball, which I have not been able to find. This solved the problem to reduce risk of loss of my kayak trailer. Excellent pricing even with shipping, and it is heavy and strong (check load limits). Highly Recommend+++
