(More customer reviews)I installed this on my 08 4Runner Sport a month ago and it bolted right up. Took about 45 minutes to do by myself with hand tools so with help it and air tools it probably could have been done in 15 minutes or so.
One thing to note, is that this sticks out from the back bumper about 6-8". Not a big deal, but if you are looking for something that looks factory or more hidden, this is not the hitch for you.

Curt Manufacturing 56018 T-Connector Review

(More customer reviews)I was very pleased with the promptness of delivery. When I looked at the instructions I noted they were a poor quality photo copy in black and white. I had recalled seeing full color dierctions online. When I logged on to the website and located the instructions by part number (very handy feature) I was surprised to note the the directions included asnd the directions on the website were different. each beginning with a dfferent tail light. So I flipped a coun and used the enclosed instructions. When I completed the install my trailer's turn signals were backwards. This requierd uninstall and 180 degree switch and reinstall.
As no wire cutting or splicing involved it was an easy fix. Pay attention to wire colors indicated.

Master Lock 2953AT 12-Volt DC Portable Winch Review

(More customer reviews)Let's not get carried away. This is not a big winch like the ones you see fastened to the bumpers of monster 4-wheelers. It is much simpler than that. And for what it is designed to do it works very well. For infrequent light duty winching this is the perfect tool.
It has a built in handle for carrying, detachable power and control cords, and enough cable to get you within 25 feet or so of whatever you are winching. It has a 2000 lb rating, and will pull that much easily. Not quickly, but easily. It has a manual crank that can be attached to the shaft. It also has a very handy mounting plate designed to slip over the ball on a ball-hitch.
The clutch is manual, and drag is set by means of a threaded knob on the shaft. It is very simple to use. Simply connect the power and control cables, loosen the clutch, pull the cable to whatever you need to pull and hook it up. Then tighten the clutch and press the button on the control handle and start winching. Be patient. There is only one speed and it is slow. But it works.
I have tested the winch by hanging it from a beam and picking up the front of a truck with no problem. Then we really put it to the test by using it to pull our garden tractor out of the mud. It was a long pull so we needed to add a tug strap but it was easy enough to hook up. The pull was painless. The winch is slow because it gets it's power through gearing. It is quite a drain on a car battery, so it helps to leave your engine running while you pull.
Not something you would want to use every day but very handy to have around. For my money this is a 5-star tool. Great for the boat owner or for use around the farm.

(More customer reviews)First, the product is great and arrived quickly in great condition, no problems in that regard. We bought the hitch to use with a bike rack, and someday for a trailer. My husband did the install himself and reports: "This is a big undertaking for an average or above average do-it-yourselfer like me installing at home in the garage... The hitch itself is very heavy and impossible to hold in place with one hand while trying to insert the bolts to the frame. You cannot just hold up one side and start the bolts while the other side is resting on the ground... the hitch needs to be positioned up off the ground, close to the frame and of course maneuvered into place around the muffler and whatever else is in the way for your vehicle... I ended up using two jack stands under each side of the hitch and positioning the hitch just below the frame (6-8 inches away) while trying to line up the holes as best as possible (the rear wheels were up on ramps giving me some working room). I then used a hydraulic jack to raise the hitch the last few inches to hold it pressed against the frame while lining up the holes and getting the first bolt in place. Once you have one bolt on each side it gets easier... TIP - make sure that the existing threaded holes in your car's frame, to which the hitch attaches, are in good condition. The holes on my 2004 Nissan Quest were very rusted and corroded... I had to use a wire brush (the kind used to clean the inside of copper pipe before soldering) to clean the threads, also using some WD-40. I actually attached the wire brush to my cordless drill and spun the brush around inside the hole at high speed to really clean out all the rust. Before trying to attach the frame make sure that you at least try to thread the bolts into the frame to make sure they will catch and screw in... the rust will cause the bolts to be extremely hard to turn and tighten up into the frame. I was only able to get the bolts about 1/4 way in using a ratchet and my own muscle. I had to use my impact wrench attached to the air compressor (normally used to take the lug nuts off tires) in order to get the bolts far enough in to hold the hitch to the frame nice and tight... and even then I was only able to get 4 of the 6 bolts fully tightened (I plan to see if my local garage will finish it off). The entire job took me about 4 hours, but luckily I have a lot of the tools that are needed... otherwise I would have been forced to abandon the job. I saved a good amount of money doing the install myself, and I enjoy doing the work, but if I had to do it again I would probably pay and avoid the hassle!

You could imagine my surprise when I ordered this on a Thursday evening and it arrived at my door on Saturday morning, all with free shipping! The install went very smoothly and I was shocked at the quality and fitment. For some reason my Jeep didn't have a shield around the gas tank, so the weld nuts in the frame were full of rust. I ran an M12 x 1.75 tap through them to make life much easier.
Please note: You will have to have a friend pry on the exhaust pipe if you want to use all 6 bolts and the first picture here on Amazon is the mount you will be receiving.

(More customer reviews)Delivery from Amazon was on time as promised! The box was slightly torn and the hitch had one small "ding" but the powder coat finish was not damaged. It took less than the 15 min the manufacturer claimed it would take to install it, & I was able to do it by myself! Went on exactly as the instructions said it would. I was lucky since my vehicle was brand new, I did not have to worry about the attaching nuts in the frame being dirty or corroded. (If you are installing on a vehicle that has been in use for some time I would recommend using some penetrating oil as well as the wire brush suggested by the instructions.)
Since I just bought it I can not comment on durability, but it looks to be well made with a quality powder coat finish.

Lund 601009 Non-folding Bike Carrier Attachment Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased the bike carrier for my cargo carrier. It arrived without the bolts (I'll tell you about this later). You have to alternate bikes, front tire - back tire - front tire to get all three on. It's really easy to attach and works great. You will have to purchase straps to secure the bikes to the carrier. The carrier is great but Lund International is not.
Now about the missing bolts. The first time I called Lund International the service rep was very friendly, took my address and phone number and said he would send the missing bolts right away. I called about a month later and the friendly service rep appoligized and said he would send them. I decided to purchase the bolts from the local hardware store instead. I wonder what their warrenty is like if they won't replace missing bolts. I hope this isn't standard business for the Lund Company.

I also was able to install without detaching the exhaust. The product features say to designate square or round design, but this option did not appear when ordering. I was hoping for round (and it was). The features also indicate it included a chrome hitch plug cover - did not come with one (no big deal for me).

Lund 602001 Hitch Step Review

(More customer reviews)I installed the Lund 602001 hitch step on my Audi Q7 to help my daughter get in and out of the back. The fit was very loose, so I wrapped duct tape around the part that goes into the hitch until a snug fit was achieved. I also wrapped tape around the hole where the pin goes, so the pin wouldn't rattle either.
The step was difficult for my daughter to fold down, so I moved it up and down a few dozen times, and some of the metal shaved off.
I kind of thought it would come with a pin, but I suppose if you have a hitch, you have a pin.
For the price, the step serves its purpose and it looks decent on the back of my SUV.

(More customer reviews)This is the quickest trailer hitch I have ever installed. Just remove the tie down and install four bolts.. On the 2010/RAV4 the muffler/tail pipe can be just pushed to the side to provide room to torque down the bolts. It just about took more time to open the box than to install 12 to 15 minutes. Perfect fit!!

Master Lock 3498AT Class III Ball Mount Starter Kit Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this receiver from Amazon and was surprised when I got it that it had OTT. After a little research on the Master Lock site. I found out OTT stands for One Tool Torque and it won an Editors Choice award from Popular Mechanics. Master Lock built in a small pin in the receiver and the hitch ball that hold the ball in place when you tighten the nut on the ball. This is great because now instead of having to use a pipe wrench on the ball and a crescent wrench on the nut you only need ONE tool, OTT! Plus you no longer damage the ball with the pipe wrench which causes the ball to rust.
Great design Master Lock!
