(More customer reviews)This product is very functional. It provides me a visual queue indicating the disk lock (attached to the other end of the cable) is secured to my motorcycle's front wheel. One end is connected to the lock and the other to my handlebar. If by chance I were to forget about the lock, placing my hand on the clutch would immediately give me visual and tactile feedback that the lock still needs to come off. Bottom line: A simple device that can prevent a catastrophic consequence.

(More customer reviews)I don't agree with the other reviews, this has proven to be a great lock. I use it for my Goldwing which should support my faith in this losk. It easily fits (without covers) the front brake disc rotor, the key syatem works very smooth and the case provided is very nice. Make sure to always use a bungee type reminder, this lock is highly visible but having that cord on the throttle is an immediate reminder.

(More customer reviews)This is not a 20mm cable lock. The steel cable is actually only about 8mm or 10mm in diameter, within a 20mm diameter plastic sleeve. (Optical distortion from the sleeve makes the steel look thicker than it is, but you can easily pry the sleeve back near one end and see that it's really a con.) I returned mine and got an OnGuard Akita 5036 lock, which is the real deal, much heavier. It cost $32 instead of $24 but for the extra $8 you get a real strong cable lock, not a joke.

(More customer reviews)This lock is a nice welcome because it is so small and easy to transport on your person or easily lock to bike while riding. This cylinder lock uses a different style than Kryptonite. I only wish the keys were sturdier made of solid metal instead of metal/plastic. I haven't broken any keys in case you are wondering but I can see someone less careful breaking keys.
I love the lock due to the size and the solid feel like it was made by Kryptonite. I would definitely not hesitate to recommend anyone who wants a smaller dependable bike lock to buy one. How can you go wrong with the price? You do need to be aware that you cannot hook this lock to just anything you want due to the small size. Keep that in mind when you decide to purchase this lock. If you have to hook your bike to non standard sized racks or you need more play room from a larger size you should get the original standard style disc lock.
The lock mechanism is in the bottom center of the main cylinder as shown in the ad picture and not like Kryptonite's end of cylinder style. I am assuming that this style can't be defeated by force like some Kryptonites could be defeated.
Those looking for something small and heavy duty then this is for you. I use this for an electric scooter with no problems. The price is pretty darned good too. ($11.50 - 2010)

After my first motorcycle was stolen, I thought that I was not cautioned enough. I should have used more locks. So for the second motorcycle, I bought a bunch of locks. However, about three weeks ago, it was stolen as well. It was chained to something using this cable lock, and the thieves just cut through. It was a clean cut. Also, I realized, that there is a gap b/w the outer layer of thin cables and the inner string kind of cable.
Anyway, either the thieves were really good, or this cable was not good enough.
