I have no idea how this company can claim "no drilling required" when on Step #4 of the instructions it clearly says "Drill access hole in the frame to allow hole plate and carriage bolt..."
I have to drill holes in my frame with a sawzall to get this hitch to work.
Additionally, the picture is misleading. The is no ball hitch assemply at all (even though clearly dispplayed in the photo).
Lastly, after a struglle to get the hitch installed (not prepared to drill holes in my frame), I finally got the hitch secured.. only to find out that the two mufflers on my 2011 Ford Edge SEL now are in contact with the hitch bracket. Great.. now I have a hitch taht doesn't fit my muffler width and it rattles.
I don't know who is at fault.. Ford (brand new 2011 Ford Edge SEL with mufflers that aren't quite right) or this hitch manufacturer who doesn't know what the right compatibility is..
