(More customer reviews)I purchased the Curt 12013 hitch for my Toyota Matrix so that I could use a hitch-mount bicycle rack on the car. A local independent mechanic did the installation, which looks to be relatively easy (4 large bolts into existing holes on the frame), but was complicated in my case by considerable rust on the threaded holes. The hitch appears to be very well made and finished, is impressively steady in its attachment to the car, and holds my Thule Helium 3 bicycle rack very securely. Overall, I am quite pleased with the quality and the utility of this product. The hitch allows me to mount bicycles on the back of the car without the hassle and questionable stability of the typical, add-on mounts. It also allows me to get away from the car-top, roof mounts that are awkward to use, and which can be problems when driving through low-height passages.
