(More customer reviews)in the picture, it looks as though it has a durable finish, however it is only painted black. Not textured like the picture shows. also the shackle is not red on the one end. i've had it for a few months, and it works great, be sure to buy a good lock if you plan on keeping it on all the time, these things tend to "walk off" quite often if they aren't.
