This hitch receiver was simple to install onto my Chevy Colorado. I was able to put it on alone without any assistance. The instructions were easy to follow. It is well built with excellent weld seams. Most of the hitch is hidden by the bumper so it looks good too.
I didn't give it 5 stars for two reasons. Reason #1 is that the packaging was poor. More on that in a moment. Secondly, I had to install this hitch twice. The first one I received had the square holder welded backwards. The holes would not line up with any hitch because they were towards the front of the vehicle instead of the aft. Since I had this item shipped to me twice, I can tell you for certain the packaging is poor. Both times, the box that held the hitch was completely ripped to shreds by the edges of the receiver. There was almost nothing left of the box. I didn't mind this so much except that all of the paint was scraped off of both ends of the receiver. I would prefer to receive a new product in new condition.

I'm quite happy with the end result, and product. It was relatively easy to install - but beware - you need two people. One person to hold the hitch in place while you attach two bolts. Once I got two in place, everything else was easy enough to put into place. The product seems to be high quality - I'll have to update this review when I start lugging things around.
One comment on the packaging - this product is clearly meant to ship directly to autobody/installer shops. The packaging is basically the hitch in a box, no foam. The fedex guys weren't so gentle when they delivered to my door. The box was pretty banged up, but there wasn't any noticeable damage to the hitch.

I got this hitch for hauling a U-Haul trailer with my Chevy Trailblazer SUV. It is well made and the chrome was intact after hauling a trailer 500 miles through mountain roads. It fit my Chevy factory hitch perfectly and was easy to install and remove, yet it was solid in the hitch mount.
Buying through Amazon saved me over 50% from buying at U-Haul.
Don't forget to get the 7 to 4 pin adapter if you are renting from U-Haul. The adapters U-Haul sells are expensive and not very good quality.Hopkins Plug-In Simple 47345 7 RV Blade To 4 Flat Adapter With LED Tester Lights

Bolted right on our 2005 Ford Ranger after studying the instructions a couple of times. This hitch is made to fit lots of different vehicles though; your installation may be more difficult.

It arrived unwrapped, no box, just the shipping label, and chipped paint. There were rusted areas on it. I requested a 2nd one and same thing, now been 4 weeks and Amazon has not I still have the 2nd one, and no credit back yet. My conclusion is this item is used and should NOT be priced as new. The description should clearly state it is used.
ZERO star if I can give that!

I ordered this Curt hitch for my 2005 Toyota Sienna van. What a hitch! Quarter inch steel angle bracing where it attaches to the van welded beautifully to a super strong, thick pipe that curves perfectly to fit the van. Bolt holes line up perfectly with threaded holes in van frame. Built like a tank! Fits like a glove! Love it!
Easy to install! Tip: Instead of taking down the exhaust pipe like the instructions say to do, I just pushed the exhaust pipe (on the passenger side) over to the side a little (the rubber mount has some give) and braced it there with a little piece of 2x4 that I wedged between the pipe and the heavy plastic piece that runs below the bumper. That left me just enough room to get my big hands in to start threading in the 3 bolts on that side. And then I didn't have to use a swivel socket: just a ratchet, extension and 3/4" shallow socket.
