(More customer reviews)First this receiver is for my 08 Patriot. When I got it the box was damaged because the receiver end poked through the middle of the box (no damage to the receiver itself). Hitch 13548 looked a little different from the picture shown and from the instructions, It only has holes for 4 bolts and the little tab peaces on the very end were not there. Installation was easy for me, squeezed it in and tightened the four bolts. I did not need to unhook the muffler, cut the bumper cover, or even put the jeep up on blocks, I did use a ratchet with a knuckle to get at the bolt next to the muffler tip because there is very little room to move up in there. Because the end tabs were not there there is no drilling required. One thing I noticed is that when the bolts are all tightened there is a little gap between the frame rail and the reciever, two more washers would make it fit perfectly. I use this for my 5 bike carrier and it works great handling all that tongue weight.
