helps show exactly what wire is not working. works wonders if you don't have a trailer to connect at the time to check if you have connected your wires correctly.

This connector fits and works fine. The only problem is the terminal markings. I downloaded a wiring diagram from etrailers and when I was wiring this, I noted the brown and green wires were reversed between the diagram and the labels on this connector. Since I'm a retired electrician, not a big problem for me. I checked my truck receptacle and found the diagram was correct and the connector is wrong.

I can't give this thing 5 stars because I've had so many problems with these things going bad due to probably just be cheaply made and from China. This did fix my problem and seemed nicer than the one I replaced it with. I know another reviewer said that the wiring diagram was wrong and I can't say if it was or not. I don't even think they came with instructions since they were bulk but I just wired it up the same way as the one that I took off. I have seen before though that wiring diagrams have been different before on things because sometimes the wiring could be different from the manufacturer or somebody did the wiring themselves. Just wire it up the way it came off, download some wiring diagrams and compare them, look on the back of a factory truck plug(ie:Ford) and wire it that way or if all else fails, get you a test light and figure it out one at a time. These are at a good price so if you need one, buy two so you'll have a spare.

Curt Manufacturing 58270 12V 7-Way Rv Round Circuit Tester Review

My circuit tester came with no directions. Without buying this product, you would think you wouldn't necessarily need them... let me explain...
Its great for turn signals, brake lights, and back up lights.
The rest is unexplainable.
1. What is "TM" for, and when is this supposed to come on?
2. When I plug in the tester, my "bk" light comes on, and its on at my brake controller...
Is this normal, or signifying that my trailer brakes are falsely being applied indicating a disfunction, because, I'm not moving the little slide lever or pushing the brake pedal, this light is just "on".
3. 12v. no light. So does this mean that it has to be hooked up to the trailer for this to work, or my 12v is dead? I'm assuming its dead. I'm assuming the brakes are falsely bring applied, since the light is on.
No info... tried to find an explanation on google somewhere... nothing...yet anyways.
I bought this to be prepared to pick up my trailer in a couple weeks, but with no directions, I'm a ship without a rudder.
