(More customer reviews)After some very detail-oriented searching, I discovered that this item was the exact (and correct) harness for my 2007 Honda Element EX. Purchased a U-Haul 2" Class III receiver hitch and the Curt 56029 wiring harness. I installed the entire thing myself in a little over an hour with basic hand tools, and the hitch harness was completely plug and play.
Just locate the connector under the dash for the converter, plug it in. Then open the cover for the spare tire and locate the plug for the towing harness, and route the harness as you see fit. You can run it through existing holes, or just keep it in the spare tire well and route it out of the tailgate of the element as-needed (which is what I do, since I only tow about 10 times per year).
***MAKE SURE TO VISIT THE CURT MFG. WEBSITE AND BE SURE YOU ARE PURCHASING THE CORRECT MODEL HARNESS FOR YOUR VEHICLE***
I cannot stress the above enough. Older and newer elements have different wiring kits. So many people leave horrible reviews of products based upon their lack of research and absolute faith in seller listings. Be certain you purchased the right product and you'll be very happy with the results.
