(More customer reviews)The hitch itself is very solid and sturdy. Installation was definitely not as easy as advertised for my 2001 Ford Escape, I have the model with the OEM class II hitch/integrated bumper. The holes in the hitch were just a bit off so I ended up having to file them to open them up a bit to allow the hex bolts to line up with the OEM holes. I imagine if it werent for the OEM hitch they would have been fine. I was told about 80 minutes for an average do it yourselfer, took almost three hours because I had to file the hitch and try to mount it a couple times and then drill the two center holes. Frustrating installation, but the hitch feels solid once its mounted.
