I installed this on my 2010 Grand Caravan and had no issues - it fit like a glove and saved me money over a professional installation. (Curt part #13364)
Notes & Install Tips:
- My caravan came with all the bolts needed already installed on the vehicle, just like the instructions said (I was initially shocked at the lack of bolts/hardware included - but it turned out just fine.)
Just remove the factory bolts and re-mount with the hitch in place. (there are 3 bolts on each side.)
Note: The forward two bolts on each side seem to go into a movable plate inside the uni-body chassis rail which caused some headache in getting the bolts properly threaded thru - the middle bolt was easier to trap first which seemed to pull the plate into a better position for the forward most bolt to get lined up properly on each side.
- I found that I needed to remove 2 of the exhaust hangers in order to flex the muffler out of the way on the right hand side. (My son helped me by pulling the muffler out of the way while I worked the wrench - its probably a 2 man job.)
- I used my floor jack centered under the receiver to help lift and support the hitch while getting it into its position. The first two bolts are the most challenging - be careful around the rear AC lines above the muffler - the hitch is custom cut to go around them, but you won't want to force it into a wrong position and compromise the AC system.
- The rear exhaust hanger gets detached and then re-attached to the hitch. In my case, this slightly offset the bracket from its factory position, but appears to hold the muffler in a good spot which should not cause any contact with the hitch or surrounding parts.
- I was delighted that there was no need to cut any plastic away from the bumper - it fits snugly underneath in contact with the plastic - perfect for me.
- Only the receiver is visible after installation.
Cons:
- Took me about 2 hours because I'm slow
- In my case, the Hitch Receiver busted through the box during shipping, which caused a minor scratch on the visible part of the hitch
